Очень рад запуску инициативы The FUTURE ARMENIAN. Патронаж столь известных деятелей вселяет надежду на то, что в ее формате удастся объединить экспертов из различных сфер, связанных с государственным строительством и выработать некую концепцию или план действий, который можно будет донести до руководства страны.
Хорошо, что ставка сделана именно на системный подход, так как многие беды Армении связаны именно с его отсутствием. Тем не менее, на мой взгляд, перечисленные 15 целей нуждаются в некоторой доработке и переформулировании.
Например, ""Историческая ответственность"" трактуется слишком узко. Слава Богу, наша история состоит не только из Геноцида. Плюс, этот пункт фактически дублирует ""Сохранение наследия"".
Вообще, мне показалось, что цели сформулированы немного фрагментарно, т.е. они не образуют некую замкнутую логическую систему. Если планируются дискуссии по этим вопросам, то не лучше ли сначала попытаться сформулировать стратегическую цель, а потом подтянуть под нее действия, которые необходимо предпринять в различных сферах, связанных с государственным строительством?
Например, так:
Цель: Построить высокоразвитое и демократическое Армянское государство, способное обеспечить собственную безопасность.
Задачи. Определить принципы оптимального устройства:
1. Внутриполитической системы;
2. Внешнеполитической деятельности;
3. Отношений Армения-Диаспора;
4. Отношений Армения-Арцах;
5. Экономической системы;
6. Государственного управления и борьбы с коррупцией;
7. Судебной системы;
8. Вооруженных сил;
9. Системы образования, науки и технологий.
Это позволило бы лучше структурировать будущие обсуждения: говорить более предметно, избежать дублирования, уйти в ходе дискуссий от лишнего пафоса и пр.

The problem in the Diaspora is that it is not a systematic, functioning structure. It is not a model. People are united in religious or political groups, but there should be a model that unites everyone regardless of those circumstances.

We need to develop minimal and maximal concepts and programs. The minimum is the preservation and evaluation of the existing state. The maximum is that which can be reached in principle and can be achieved in practice.

The Diaspora should work in the direction of strengthening Armenia, Armenia should be at the center. Armenia should become a strong and safe country. Like the Jews, we should be able to create a powerful country, even if it is surrounded by enemies.

Հիմնել այդ ձեռնարկությունները ներդրմամբ կամ բարեգործական հիմունքներով: Սոցիալական ձեռնարկությունը կղեկավարի Համայնքային ակտիվ խմբի կողմից նշանակված մարդը, ձեռնարկությունում պարտադիր կերպով կհրավիրվեն աշխատանքի սոցիալապես անապահով աշխատունակ անձինք, ովքեր ստանում են նպաստ: Գործարանի արտադրանքը պետք է ուղղված լինի Հայաստանի ինքնաբավությանը, իսկ եթե արտադրվում է ավելի շատ քան Հայաստանում սպառվում է, պետք է արտահանվի և վաճառվի սփյուռքի հայաշատ քաղաքներում։ (Ծիրանի օրինակը*)
Վաճառքից գոյացած գումարի մեծ մասը պետք է աշխատողները ստանան որպես աշխատավարձ, ինչը ևս մեկ ներարկում կլնի դեպի տնտեսություն (քանի որ քիչ ծախսող մարդիկ ավելի շատ կծախսեն, պետությունը ոչ միայն շահութահարկ կստանա արտադրանքի վաճառքից ու եկամտահարկ աշխատավարձերից, այլև կմեծանա այլ տնտեսվարող սուբյեկտների շահույթն ու հետևաբար հարկերը)։:
Սոցիալական ձեռնարկության շահույթի մյուս մասը ՀԱԽ-ի տնօրինմամբ ուղղվելու է տվյալ համայնքի զարգացմանը, որում աշխատում է այդ ձեռնարկությունը։
* Ծիրանի օրինակը նախորդ տարի հայկական ծիրանի առաջ փակվեցին Ռուսաստանում գտնվող շուկաները, սակայն Մոսկվայի հայերի միահամուռ ուժերով այդ մեծ քանակությամբ ծիրանը շատ արագ իրացվեց, սա ցույց է տալիս հայկական սփյուռքի հսկայական ներուժը, որը պետք է օգտագործել ոչ միայն բարեգործական գումարներ ներգրավելով, այլ նաև հայկական արտադրության ապրանքներ գնելով, որը կկազմի սփյուռքահայի ընդհանուր ծախսերի 40-60 տոկոսը։
Այս գործողությունները ընդամենը մի քանի տարում տնտեսական լուրջ վերելքի կբերեն Հայաստանի տնտեսությունը, սփյուռքի գումարները կծախսվեն նպատակային, ունենալով տնտեսական ինքնաբավություն Հայաստանը կվարի առավել ինքնուրույն արտաքին քաղաքականություն, կմեծանան հարկային եկամուտները, կհաղթայարվի աղքատությունը։ Համայնքային ակտիվ խմբի անդամները կկրթվեն։

The 15 goals you have established should have instead been only 3:
1. Take care of what you have left.
2. Always set realistic, achievable goals.
3. Stop pursuing fairy tales.
If we ever, by some miracle, come to the point as a nation where we finally are driven by the motivation to develop and take care of what we have rather than cry and dream about a vast Wilsonian Armenia from sea to sea, that is when we will be deserving of having our own independent state.
The most patriotic thing to do and to comprehend for us, Armenians, is that we should solely focus on building upon the internationally recognized tiny piece of land we have left and stop talking/daydreaming all the time about Shushi, Kars, Van, Mush, etc., and focus on Ijevan, Goris, Meghri, Gyumri, etc.
The only thing that could make you, as a political movement, different from the rest of the so-called political parties in Armenia, is if you would emphasize the need to be realists and to finally learn from our own damn history.

Both the Diaspora and Armenia should work toward the establishment of democracy in Turkey, because that is one of the main paths toward recognition of the Genocide.

I put my name to join The FUTURE ARMENIAN initiative the minute I received the appeal to be part of this "new family".
I call this a family because I believe in the idea of coordinated coexistence like in a family, cooperation by all like in a family and most important of all, the plan and ideal that members of a family work for.
I was watching misters Afeyan's and Vardanyan's interview with Mr. Ghazarian on the Armenian TV and was very much impressed by the vision that the two gentlemen expressed as well as by the plan they had to go forward. Or rather, as Mr. Afeyan brilliantly explained, to come back from the future.
Now, as a diasporan, I see three main obstacles why the Armenian diaspora has not been organized to its optimal capacity over a century:
1. The Armenian "traditional parties."
2. Lack of confidence in diasporans for a collective, unified Armenian efforts.
3. Absence of an organization, non political in nature, not affiliated to "the traditional Armenian parties" and the multi headed Armenian church.
As my first point implies, I see the Armenian parties, specially the ARF as the main obstacle for the creation of a pan Armenian organization that can unite and exploit all our resources, scientific, financial, technical, social, diplomatic, etc. in the Armenian Diaspora.
My plea will be to create such an organization (as suggested and planned by the visionaries of The FUTURE ARMENIAN) and to reach out to each and every Armenian all over the world where everyone will be aware of what his part in planning or action will be.
The Armenian Diaspora has immense potentials and capabilities if and when organized.

Back in July 2020 after the Tavush war, I realized that we, the Armenian diaspora need to do something for Armenia right away. Most Armenians in Diaspora have average paid jobs and unless we combine our resources for a specific well-planned project/s, the resources can be easily dissolved. The initial idea was to streamline the borderline villages in Armenia and Artsakh with building shared infrastructures and services that would motivate the rural population, give them hope about the future, make their lives productive and secure, and even boost tourism. Strong underground shelters; Water /Sewer; Electrical/gas grid/solar power; Rural and inter-village-town roads; Irrigation schemes; Area Center/Farmers Market; Kindergarten/Schools. Many things have changed since then. I however, keep thinking that we in diaspora have to do something NOW, today. The idea is this:
1. Gather likeminded donners, who are willing to commit to a rolling 1-year (or more) monthly contribution of $100.
2. Create a secure website (even thought of a name Մի Ծաղկով Գարուն) for donors, admin and the project team.
3. Find a trustworthy group of professionals who will implement the project/s (I understand the project selection and priorities can be different today).
4. Make all contributions, spending and accomplishments transparent via the website.
5. If one-year pilot is successful continue the initiative for next year/s. These are really high-level points and I am sure many others have suggested similar concepts, but the idea of fixed amount monthly contributions targeted on strategic shared services project/s, and the project implementation transparency might be something that will bring many Armenians together who are eager to do something tangible right away. Some of us have dreams/plans moving back to Armenia one day, working part time for Armenia, etc. These are all good plans, but we need to act now as the circumstances are changing rapidly and we can’t afford delaying what we can do today.
