The webinar will take place on April 16 at 7 p.m. Yerevan time (GMT+4), with Dr. Lilian Grigoryan, M.D., Ph.D., Cardiologist at the Section of Interventional Cardiology of Gregorio Marañón General University Hospital in Madrid, FAST’s Next Generation (NextGen) Council Member. Lilian is a scientist and principal investigator at the Gregorio Marañón Institute of Health Research, and a representative of the nucleus of the working group on cardiovascular regenerative and reparative medicine of the European Society of Cardiology.
Dr. Grigoryan will hold this webinar as part of a series of webinars under the umbrella of “COVID-19: Defying universal fear” with various healthcare professionals. This series of webinars are prepared and held by Futures Studio, powered by FAST and moderated by Kristina Akopyan, MD, Master of Public Health (MPH), Senior Innovation Analyst at FAST.
The last month turned into a nightmare for many Spanish people, especially those working in the healthcare system. As a clinician working at a tertiary hospital in the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic, Madrid, Dr. Grigoryan want to share the true story they are living these days in Madrid, measures that were taken to afford this exceptional situation and comment on the gained expertise. Lilian thinks that only real facts and not myths can help people to prepare themselves for the upcoming situation which is essential to minimize its negative impact.
We will also discuss the state of the art, knowledge gaps and the ongoing research in the field of COVID-19 with a focus on the cardiovascular system.
