Youth discussion of the Future Armenian within the framework of the “Davitbek Games”

The FUTURE ARMENIAN initiative is starting a series of youth discussions with the aim of involving the youth of Armenia, Artsakh and Diaspora in the joint planning of the future.

The first discussion of the initiative in this format took place on July 28 in Syunik, within the framework of the “Davitbek Games”. The teams participating in the games discussed one of the 15 goals of the FUTURE ARMENIAN initiative: Historic Responsibility.

119 teenagers and young people from Yerevan, Artsakh, Syunik, Vayots Dzor, Gegharkunik, Armavir, Ararat, Kotayk, Lori, Aragatsotn, and Tavush participated in the discussions.

During the event, the participants came up with remarkable proposals and ideas, debated the most urgent problems of Armenia, discussed a wide range of issues affecting Armenians in an open and honest atmosphere and voted for the most preferred programs for them.

Organized jointly with the “Davitbek Games”, this event was aimed both at collectively planning for the future, as well as promoting dialogue and developing solutions.

The Future Armenian Youth Discussions aim to encourage dialogue among Armenian youth, promote the culture of constructive debate in Armenia and Diaspora, promoting the process of forming a vision of our united future in various fields.

The format of the discussion is based on the internationally well-known “Citizen Assembly” model of participatory democracy, where young people have an active role in decision-making, can express different and opposing points of view, discuss the proposed topics, formulate questions, as well as propose program solutions to the discussed issues.
