Today was the second day of the Convention of the Future Armenian, with discussions dedicated to the Goal of “Armenia-Diaspora Unity.” The participants started the day with a visit to the Yerablur Military Pantheon to pay their respects to and honor the memory of the Armenians martyred for the motherland.
Before proceeding to the discussions of the Convention, Chairman of the Counting/Controlling Committee Arick Gevorkian presented the results of the previous day’s votes. It should be noted that the Counting/Controlling Committee was formed on the principle of participant self-nomination, after which the members of the Committee nominated and elected the chairman.
The Convention continued with a speech by Aram Abrahamyan, head of the Expert Committee, public speaker, and editor-in-chief of “Aravot” newspaper, who referenced the work completed by the experts throughout the last 5 months as well as the documents submitted for discussion.
As on the first day, the participants familiarized themselves with the scenarios and programs developed by the experts, discussed and presented their recommendations, and then voted for the ideas and programs they approved.
As a reminder, the first pan-Armenian citizens’ assembly is organized by The FUTURE ARMENIAN public initiative, founded by Noubar Afeyan, Ruben Vardanyan, Richard Azarnia, Artur Alaverdyan and others.
