Blair Sheppard: “Ten Years to Midnight: Four Urgent Global Crises and Their Strategic Solutions”
We invite you to participate in Blair Sheppard’s book presentation “Ten Years to Midnight: Four Urgent Global Crises and Their Strategic Solutions”, which will be held on February 5, 2021.
Blair leads the team that focuses on strategy and leadership for the PwC network. He is also Professor Emeritus and Dean Emeritus of Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Blair was the first recipient of faculty of the year at Fuqua; received the Business Person of the Year award for Education in 2011 (Triangle Business Journal); Eminent Scholar Award, Institute of Finance, Frankfurt University in 2007; and was a Canada Council Doctoral Fellow. Professor Sheppard has advised more than 100 companies and governments in the areas of leadership, corporate strategy, organizational relationships and design, and has published more than 50 books and articles.
In his new book, Blair Sheppard sets out what the most urgent challenges are and the key elements of a solution. What he and his team discovered is a new path to rebuilding and reinvigorating institutions, redefining what it means to be a nation or economy, forging shared cultural and social bonds, and rekindling innovation for social good instead of harm. To press these solutions forward as the clock ticks toward a global unwinding, Sheppard also calls for a new level of imagination, cooperation and urgency from the world’s leaders in every sector and every country.
Blair devoted a chapter to Armenian philanthropic projects of Ruben Vardanyan and his partners. That’s why the webinar will focus on the Armenian case.
